Everything I did as a teenager living in Rockland County, NY (arm’s length away from New York City) was weirdly anchored by the creative legacy of hip-hop (and also Magic The Gathering), but mostly the Graffiti and Turntables. There was another piece of it that I always wished I could do—Breakdancing; but I was not about to get into all that, I only had time for Wu-Tang, Krylon and Kung Fu movies by the greats like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan. Yessir!
Of course the girls naturally love a fit breakdancer over any dorky kid obsessively dissecting cryptic rap lyrics while geeking out over Technics 1200s and sick Jet-Li moves, bro. But I had a secret weapon, I practiced Judo from a really early age, my dad was a 7th Dan Black Belt Judo Sensei. Mix that in with Method Man-fueled Teenstosterone + Rumble in The Bronx, and that’s all the confidence I needed no matter how skinny or dorky I was. KKKIAAAAA!!!
It’s Actually
Called Wuxia
This aesthetic and style gets me in the best way, and today, NYC is all I will be thinking about ❤️🩹
After a lot of tinkering this is a SUPER effective short prompt for that consistent ‘70s Wuxia Kung Fu Film look, and in my opinion it works best in V6. Enjoy!
