The Birth of Alien Chic
It all started in the 1950s, when flying saucers and little green men were the talk of the town. Roswell was the birthplace of modern UFO culture, sparking imaginations and inspiring everything from B-movies to conspiracy theories. But who knew this fascination with the extraterrestrial would eventually seep into our closets?
Fast forward to the 1960s, and designers like Pierre Cardin and André Courrèges were channeling space-age vibes with futuristic materials and outlandish silhouettes. Picture metallic mini-dresses, bubble helmets, and boots that look like they walked straight off a moon base. These early pioneers of Alien Chic paved the way for a style that’s as daring as it is dazzling.
