Side Note

In my Midjourney V6 text explorations I came across someone else’s generation of an old coin with Jesus on a skateboard and the text “J-Coin” on it. I thought it was pretty comical, and the thought of Jesus having money named after him is so outlandish that I couldn’t let it go. So here we are, on spring break making coins.

Keep in mind that as good as V6 is, the text rendering is not quite there yet, too many words usually yield strange artifacts, so the more concise your text is, the better the results will be. And most times you have to re-roll or vary subtle a few times to get your desired text to show up cleanly.

Coin Minting, also known as coining or coinage, is the process of manufacturing coins used as legal tender. This intricate process involves design, engraving, and the striking of metal under high pressure to imprint detailed imagery and inscriptions, reflecting a nation's identity and values. The minting process starts with the creation of a master die, which is a detailed design crafted by skilled engravers or created digitally. This die is then used to strike blank metal discs (planchets) under high pressure, resulting in finely detailed coins. Modern minting techniques can include advanced security features to prevent counterfeiting.
